I have dark brown, almost black hair with about 10% grey. This gives me a dark auburn tint that covers grey very well. It is darker than on the box, but I expected that because of my very dark hair, and it is exactly what I was aiming for. I had been using a darker "mahogany" in this line that was recommended for dark hair on the box, but it wasn't as light as I wanted, & this is perfect. I recommend that spots of grey that you want to make sure get color be treated at the beginning, so they get the full time. I also find that this doesn't stain skin or my white sink nearly as much as other brands. It washed out of my beige towel completely. (But carpet is much harder to "wash"--put a towel down, trust me!!) It smells pleasant, unlike some brands. Color retention is the same as other brands (red fades more quickly than any other color), about 4-5 weeks. I love the natural ingredients and the included conditioner. My coarse dry curly hair is very soft. I special order this in 6 month batches because I love it so much.

I was told not to use a dye over hair that had been previously treated with henna dye, but I did it anyway. It turned out great! - No problems at all! The red is very beautiful and the color is easy to use, like any other conventional hair dye. The only thing is, like all other reds, it fades faster than other colors.

Since my hair is very thin I wanted to find a natural hair dye that was vibrant and red and wouldn't damage my hair. This seemed to fade very quickly like within a week of dying it even though it says its supposed to be vibrant for 5 weeks, maybe it because of the shampoo I use, I don't know. This hair dye didn't damage my hair which was good and while dying it I didn't feel any tingling or stinging on my scalp as other hair dyes may give you. Unfortunately I wouldn't buy this product again and I have yet to find a vibrant red hair dye with less chemicals and no animal testing...

I waited a while to write this review. I wanted to see how the color lasted. As all reds fade with time, this color faded from brilliant bright red to brilliant red.
I love this color and I will definatley be purchasing this again. It is my new favorite. I recommend to anyone that wants an amazing bright red.

My natural hair color is black. I had it previously dyed with henna one time. The henna did not work at all, therefore, my haircolor did not change. I had 1 inch of black roots and the rest was a dark red. So, today I dyed my hair with Naturtint fireland. Surprisingly, it did not dye my black roots at all! My roots were supposed to be red. It only worked on the rest of my hair. Here is what i think might have gone wrong:
1. The previously dyed henna affected the results. Even though the henna
did not work on my hair.
2. I started to dye my hair at the nape of the neck rather than at the
front. It took me 1hour to dye my own hair.
3. Or maybe the product was defective
Why cant i just dye my hair red and have it turn out red?
Everyone else gets to dye their hair and be happy with the results! Why me??
Nothing seems to work on my hair, not Henna, and maybe not Naturtint. I will dye it again and see if it works this time.
