Effective, but there are drawbacks Apr 29, 2012

Since using the DMSO daily, my shoulder pain has decreased, and I expect it to continue to get even better. However, there are a few inconveniences to be aware of. Skin must be clean before application, and you need to let it dry before putting on clothing, as the DMSO can pull colors from clothes into your skin. So prepare to be bare for about 20 minutes. If you're fare skinned, there will be a stinging sensation that feels like a sunburn, and will turn red. My wife has skin that tan's easily, and she doesn't get the same stinging feeling that I get. I haven't experienced any garlic odors or breath, but my wife can definitely smell the DMSO for hours after I apply it. For all of the minor inconveniences, I still recommend it for those who have tried other remedies to ease muscle and joint pain to no resolution.

Read some articles on this and bought this for my mother who has arthritis. She has been using it to help with the pain and does find it helping.
